Hot Chocolate
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups cocoa
1 tablespoon salt
whole milk for serving
2 tablespoons mix to 1 cup whole milk. Warm milk in pan over medium low heat then add to cocoa in cups.
Swiss Mocha
1/2 cup instant coffee
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup nonfat dry milk
Whisk dry ingredients together very well. Use 1 cup hot water to 2 tablespoons of mix.
Snowman Soup Mix
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup dry milk
2 cups instant Nesquik
3/4 cup nondairy creamer
1 (6 oz) box instant chocolate pudding
Use 3 heaping teaspoons soup mix to a mug of boiling hot water.
Hot Cocoa Mix
10 cups dry milk
4 3/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups powdered creamer
Use 1/3 cup mix to 3/4 cup boiling water.
Easy Hot Apple Cider
1 bottle apple juice
handful of Red Hots
Heat in a crock pot or on the stove on low stirring til dissolved.
Wassail
8 cups apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon whole allspice
1 cinnamon stick
Heat all ingredients to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Strain.
Sweet Tea
2 quarts water
3 regular-sized tea bags (variation: Use 1 flavored tea bag to 2 regular)
3/4 cup sugar
Boil 3 cups of the water. Place tea bags and sugar into the pitcher. (If glass make sure it's tempered.) Pour the boiling water into the pitcher. Cover and let steep 5-25 minutes. Gently stir. Add the rest of the cold water. Chill. Serve with fruit.
Candy Bar Milk Shakes
1 cup mini candy bars, chopped
2 cups or 1 pint ice cream
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
1 1/4 cups milk
Mix all in blender. Yields 2 thick milkshakes. Add another 1/4 cup milk for thinner shakes.
Lemonade
1 3/4 cups sugar
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate til chilled. Mix all the rest of ingredients together.
